Barony offers a number of recreation and leisure activities, many of which it supports with its own outstanding facilities.
Kirkmichael bar
If energetic activities disagree with you, why not provide moral support to the 'sports stars' running around in the games hall. As a Barony Sports club member you can relax with a drink in your hand overlooking the games hall.
Its amazing how watching others sweat can help to work up a thirst !
The bar is a lively place at times. Many social events inspired by students over the years have been held here for some reason!

Our well equipped games hall is one of the best facilities in the Dumfries region and students have regular access. It has all of the equipment that you need to enjoy the above sports.
You could decide this is the year you really want to train hard to get fit (or perhaps even fitter!)
The multi-gym and weight training facilities can help you achieve that life time ambition, pecs' and a 6 pack!
Sports fishery
For a mere £5 per year you can join the Barony Angling Club who run and fish our own 2 acre fishery as well as organise trips to other fisheries in the area. The fishery is stocked with Rainbow trout, Brown trout, brook trout, rudd, carp and tench.
