SoS Wildlife Hospital
South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital (SoSWH) was set up by a board of trustees in 1999 in the grounds of the Barony College.
Even though we are based on Barony College grounds we are a separate charity and rely very heavily on donations and volunteers.
However, we and the college both benefit from being on the college grounds; students get hands on experience with wildlife and they also help with fundraising and the day to day running of SoSWH.
Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and release native wildlife back into the wild.
We are equipped to house a number of different species from hedgehogs to deer. As the hospital has been running for many years some of the outdoor enclosures are becoming a little run down and so are in need of some maintenance work. Any help whether physical or financial is most welcome – we are always looking for new members and volunteers!
