Brushcutter/Strimmer Operations

Course Details:
This course is designed for anyone who operates a Brushcutter or Strimmer in the course of their employment. It is designed to cover the control of unwanted vegetation ranging from grass/weeds to shrubs/small trees. It will be delivered by one of Barony's qualified staff and involves one day training and a separate NPTC assessment in brushcutting operations.
The course content includes:
- Introduction
- Safety
- Protective clothing
- Components and maintenance
- Fuelling and starting
- Testing the safety features
- Safe operation in a variety of operating conditions
Certification:
Successful candidates will be awarded an NPTC certificate of competence in brushcutting and strimming operations.

Course Fee: £250.00 per person
Please note this includes training, assessment and registration with NPTC. There is no VAT on our training.
Duration: 2 days (1 day training plus 1 day assessment)
Start & Finish Times: 9am - 4.30pm (approx)

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
PPE and Strimmers are available for hire for a small charge for the duration of your training. The PPE list is available to download here.
