Fisheries Short Courses Introduction

Barony College, offers some of the best practical facilities for aquaculture, sport fisheries management and aquatics education and training in Europe, and is highly regarded by employers.

The college's commercial trout farm produces 25 tonnes of fish per annum and the hatchery facilities enable you to be involved in the egg production, hatching and early rearing phases, as well as on-growing. Coarse fish and ornamental species are spawned each year in a warm water recirculation unit held in the college's aquatics centre, providing a ‘rounded' aquaculture experience.
