Equine Studies Short Courses Introduction
Set in a pretty rural location, the College estate is an ideal location for an equestrian centre, with an outdoor riding arena, exercise areas and stableblock.
There is a rapidly increasing interest in working with horses as a career, in competition, or in associated activities. Thousands of people now owe their living to work with horses, either directly or indirectly, in a diverse range of employment opportunities. Working with horses is more a way of life than a regular job, but for those who are devoted to horses and have the motivation to work whatever the weather or time of day, this provides its own unique rewards.
Whatever your chosen career as a professional equestrian, there is a wide variety of jobs within different types of organisations. There are many employment opportunities within the industry, including riding instructors, grooms, stud assistants, workers in racing yards or in the HM Forces or the Police Force.
Currently on offer in our short course programme are the UK Coaching Certificate qualifications at both levels 1 and 2.
