Pesticide Training (Handheld Applicators) (PA6)

Course Details:

This course is suitable for those working in forestry, agriculture, horticulture or greenkeeping. It is based around the National Proficiency Test Council PA6 (Hand Held Applicators) Test and is designed to help people to successfully prepare for their tests. The course lasts for one day, with attendance required to sit the test on another day following the course.

  • Putting PA1 information into practice
  • Calibration of the sprayer
  • Spraying Speed
  • Correct use of concentrated and dilute pesticide
  • Correct selection of nozzles and pressure for spraying conditions and type of pesticide used
  • Calculation of area to be sprayed
  • Wind speeds and other spraying conditions
  • Practical spraying
  • Practice for PA6 test

Certification:

NPTC Assessments take place on a separate day, usually a couple of weeks after training, depending on assessor availability and candidate ability.  Successful candidates will be awarded with NPTC Certificates of competence for PA6.

Course Fee:  £280.00 per person

Please note this includes 1 day training, assessment and registration with NPTC.  There is no VAT on our training.

Candidates must have undertaken PA1 training.

Additional Information:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
