Course Details:
This two day integrated training and assessment course for basic chainsaw operation (chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting) will take place at the Barony College campus in Dumfries & Galloway by one of our approved Forestry instructors. The training can be delivered on customer premises should their be suitable number and an appropriate working environment.
Course Content:
- Workshop safety awareness
- Guide bar, saw chain and power unit maintenance
- Re-assembly
- Health and safety features
- Lubrication and fuelling
- Personal protective equipment
- Starting and pre-cutting checks
- Site safety awareness
- Cross-cutting and stacking timber.
Please note that this course is not suitable for anyone who will be felling trees.
Certification:
A Lantra Awards certificate of Basic Training will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

Course Fee: £260.00 per person
Please note this includes 2 days training and assessment and registration with Lantra Awards. There is no VAT on our training.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
