ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) Experienced Operator Course

Course Details:
This course is designed for those who are required to ride an ATV as part of their regular duties. Suitable for users in a range of industries and working environments such as agriculture, forestry, golf courses, leisure complexes, parks and gardens, outdoor shows and events. The experienced Operator programme is aimed at those who are competent in the use of ATV's but do not hold any formal certification.
Course content:
The course will involve a small amount of theory, but the content is mainly practical driving work.
- Use of manufacturer's handbook
- Protective clothing
- Transmissions and Drives
- Controls and Instruments
- Daily Checks/ re-Fuelling
- Start/stop procedure
- Steering
- Emergency Stop
- Risk Assessment/ Route Planning
- Failed Hill Climb techniques
- Ascent/ Descent/Traversing
- Complex riding situations
- Causes of accidents/how to prevent them
- Daily Checks on all equipment

Certification:
A LANTRA certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course. NPTC assessment is available if required. Please contact the College for more details on how to arrange this. Cost for NPTC assessment is £225.00 per person

Course Fee: £200.00 per person
Please note this includes 1 day training, assessment and registration with Lantra Awards. There is no VAT on our training.
Bike Hire: If you would prefer to hire a bike for the duration of the course, we can arrange this for you. Bike hire is charged at £50 per day.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should be confident and experienced operators in the use of ATV's.
No formal certification is required, however should you require refresher training this is the course you would look to complete.
