Advice at Parents Evenings
Our aim when we are contributing to a school based event is to help young people and their parents gain a better understanding of a career in the Land based or Animal Care sector and the qualifications required to enter and progress.
Typical questions we will be asked are:
- Is the job I'm interested in really as I imagine it to be?
- What subjects should I be choosing at school to help me enter the course I need as my first step?
- What school qualifications do I need to achieve for entry and what progression routes exist to higher qualifications?
- How easy is it to get a first job when I am qualified and what opportunities for career advancement are likely to arise in the future?
