NPA Award Details
Each of the NPA awards comprises 4 SQA credits and may be made up from a range of mandatory, restricted option and optional Units.
At level four the Units selected for the award being delivered in the ACCESS pilot by Barony and West Highland College are as follows:
UNITS contained within Level 4 NPA
- North European Aquaculture: An Introduction
- Aquatic Environment: Local Investigation
- Aquaculture: An Introduction to Finfish Production
- Aquaculture: An Introduction to Shellfish Production
- Work Experience
Students wishing to progress from the Level 4 to Level 5 would then undertake the following Units:
UNITS contained within Level 5 NPA
- Global Aquaculture
- Aquatic Environments for Aquaculture
- Aquaculture: Salmonid Ova Production
- Aquaculture: Floating Cage Fish Farm Operations
