Funding your Studies
If you are thinking about attending a course at Barony Campus, a major issue you will have to consider is your financial situation throughout your period of study.
Students on a full-time course, which leads to a qualification up to but not including Higher National Certificate, are generally eligible for a Further Education Bursary or an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA). Students on a full-time course, which leads to an advanced level qualification, are generally eligible for a Student Loan. The links to the information guides that follow outline the types of financial support available from Barony Campus and the Student Awards Agency for Scotland [SAAS]. They also provide details of additional support students can receive and explain some of the government's regulations, which can affect students.
Part-time Courses
Students attending a part-time course may be eligible to have their course fees waived and possibly receive some financial help to attend college.
Childcare Support
Students can apply to the Childcare Fund, managed by the College for help towards their registered childcare costs for time spent in college. Registered childcare could be a nursery, after school club or childminder, as long as they are able to provide you with a registration number.
