National Progression Award in Fish Feeding, Nutrition and Health
Course Details:
This is a work-based training programme and qualification, requiring you to be in employment on a fish farm. Previous experience is advantageous. Although the programme is flexible, a candidate would reasonably be expected to achieve this award in approximately four months. Successful completion can lead to progression to the National Certificate in Aquaculture and Sport Fishery Operations, or the Modern Apprenticeship in Aquaculture.

• Fish Feeding
• Fish Health
• Fish Biology
Entry Requirements:
Three Standard Grade passes, ideally including a science subject.
Your personal motivation and a reference from your employer are taken into account.
STUDENT CASE STUDY
Rafat Al-tamimi was an international student who came over to Scotland from the Yemen to study HNC Fish Farming in 2009/10.
He chose Barony to gain some practical experience as well as using it as a platform to progress into year two of BSc Honours in Aquaculture at the University of Stirling.
Rafat said:
