STUDENT CASE STUDY
Rafat Al-tamimi was an international student who came over to Scotland from the Yemen to study HNC Fish Farming in 2009/10.
He chose Barony to gain some practical experience as well as using it as a platform to progress into year two of BSc Honours in Aquaculture at the University of Stirling.
Rafat said:
“I searched for a fish farming course everywhere in the UK and I came to the conclusion that Barony College was the best place to do it. The wonderful facilities and the practical work have given me the opportunity not just to learn, but to gain experience. I made lots of good friends at Barony in such a short time. I would say that Barony is one of the best pathways I have chosen to achieve success.
After completion of my course, my plan is to gain employment in the industry and obtain more experience before I can hopefully continue with my studies and do an MSc”.
